Removing gum stains can be quite the hassle as bits and pieces still remain after your attempts to clean it and it leaves a very noticeable sticky spot.

How to get bubble gum out of carpet

1. Place a few handfuls of ice in a zip lock bag.
2. Put the bag of ice directly on to the gum stain till the stain hardens.
3. Fully scrape the gum from the carpet using a scraping tool.
4. Sponge the gum stain with the help of a cleaning fluid.
5. Cover the gum stain with a clean white towel or rag to soak up any remaining liquid and continue to pat down the stain till it dries.

Glue Messes

Glue is a common item we see on carpets during holiday times. We notice glue as a common mess around this time because kids tend to do some sort of arts and crafts. Gather all of these items:

• A butter knife
• Vacuum
• Spot remover
• Paper Towels
• Clothing Iron

1. If the chocolate or candy has tried, scrape it off with the butter knife.
2. Vacuum over the stain after scraping to remove leftover flakes
3. Cover the affected area with a couple of paper towel.
4.  Set your clothing iron to the lowest, non-steam setting possible. Move the iron over the paper towels slowly. This should help the chocolate start to stick to the paper towels. (Keep the temperature steady on the iron.)

• One tablespoon of white vinegar
• Two cups of warm water.

Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the cleaning solution until the stain disappears. Then sponge with cold water and blot dry.

2. Sprinkle baking soda or cornstarch on the stain. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Vacuum the leftover stain.
4. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with a dry-cleaning solvent.
5. Blot until the solvent is absorbed.
